CCTR Laboratory
The CCTR (Centre for Clinical Tuberculosis Research) is the clinical trials section of the DST/NRF Centre of Excellence for Biomedical TB Research situated in Tygerberg Campus of the University of Stellenbosch in Cape Town. The laboratory is under the directorship of Prof Paul van Helden.
A BL3 biosafety facility is available for work with live Mycobacterium tuberculosis. An academic environment provides support based on extensive experience with the current laboratory methods used in biomedical tuberculosis research.
