TASK Clinical Research Centre (TCRC) Phase 1& 2b Clinical Trial Site

• 24 bed in-patient hospital registered with the South African Department of Health
• 6 wards with 4 beds each
• Infection controlled participant wards ventilated via negative air pressure and sealed from main centre by automated infection control double doors.
• Outsourced on site specialised catering service ensuring the nutritional needs of our trial participants are adhered to
• On site sample processing room with centrifuge and refrigeration
• Restricted areas for infectious disease control
• Central time monitored for IP protocol adherence
• 24-hour a day onsite nursing staff that are equipped and skilled in managing medical emergencies (emergency trolleys installed)
• CCTV monitored, access-controlled and on site, off street secure parking
• In-house pharmacy registered with the South African Pharmacy Council and South African Department of Health (DOH) as an institutional pharmacy for clinical trials
• On-site support team offices including monitor offices, reception areas, doctors rooms
• Back-up generators on site and other electrical redundancies installed

• TASK HQ comprising of a quality and regulatory team; data management centre; finance and admin team and BSL3 Laboratory

• Aids Clinical Trial Group (ACTG) approved
• Federal Drug Administration (FDA) and European Medicines Agency (EMA) inspected
• Noted by the Technology Innovation Agency of South Africa as a Singular Entity Facility for its EBA tests
• South African Health Products Regulatory Authority inspected
